Coaties at Iguasso

Along the pathways, we stumbled into a playful family of coaties (koh-ah-TEE-ahs), a kind of raccoon with long snuffly noses and big black-ringed tails. They snuffled and bumbled along with us, and completely charmed us. We also saw capuchin monkeys, hundreds of buzzards circling in the drafts, and all kinds of beautiful and striking butterflies. The walk along the rim of the falls was gorgeous!
