Zip lining and rapelling in Iguazo

On our last day in Iguazo, after the visit to the Guarani community, we had the option to take the Iguazo Jungle tour. 13 of us took up that option which consisted of a 10 mile ride in an open air jeep deep into the forest. We first stopped to go rappelling and discovered to our horror that rappelling down a waterfall meant that we were going to get absolutely soaked. It was as if we had taken a shower in our clothes. The rappelling itself was fairly non- adventurous as we essentially walked slowly down the waterfall.

We then had to get into the truck and drive sopping wet to our next stop which was zip-lining. Basically you climb up to a really tall platform and then your harness is hooked on to a steel cable and you glide between trees , stopping at each platform along the way. It was phenomenal (if your tastes run to this sort of thing) and the students all really enjoyed both activities.
