Visiting a Guaranyi village

We spent our morning visiting a small village area where some of the local indigenous people live. This whole area of Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil is the traditional home of the Guaranyi people. The village we visited was called Mborore. It was outside the city of Puerto Iguacu, where we are staying. We drove out in a large open-sided jeep. As we turned into smaller and smaller roads, the ride got bumpier and bumpier. We drove over ditches and large rocks, and at one point we turned onto a road that was so narrow I would have thought it was a walking path. The earth was so red it was striking. The trees and forest growth was green and dense. And we went deeper and deeper in.
